I. Technique and Progress in September

During my years of undergraduate study I have been learning diverse techniques. Many courses have influenced the progressive development of my project. Microbiology and basic science are the areas of my investigation therefore the course of microbiology which I am taking this semester is being very helpful. One of the techniques that will be employed is the use of the growth curve. Although very basic this curve is necessary for the experiment. During the biopanning process in order to amplify the phages a chemical should be added at a specific stage of growth of the host culture. This growth curve will permit to know at which time approximately the host culture will reach the desired stage in order to maximize efficiency of the results.
In terms of my progress with my investigation it has been less productive than what I had in mind. This is not due with the project itself but with time management. The progress has been a 2/5 so far these two months. In order to meet my goals this semester I plan to stay more weekends at the campus.
